Implant parts are expensive! Like really expensive. A single screw can cost upwards of $400
With that, there is a process for returning items that we don’t use. WE DO NOT JUST THROW THEM AWAY! Even if the product has touched a patient we are able to sterilize it and return it. WHEN IN DOUBT BAG IT, LABLE IT, AND GET IT TO THE SURGERY ASSISTANTS TO REVIEW!!!! Doesn’t matter how small it is, it’s likely something we want to return.
