Hygiene Daily Expectations

Beginning of Day

Arrive 30 minutes before first patient

Room setup according to standard protocol

Room is stocked appropriately for the day

Audit charts for the next day
-
identify patients that need perio charting and you need assistants from hygiene assistant

Have positive attitude and be ready to treat patients
Downtime
When you have more than 20 minutes open in your appointment book, that equals downtime. Â During those times here is the list of items that need to be completed:

Help put away the order (usually delivered on Wednesday/Thursday)

Make sure sterile is running smooth

Check in with the front desk to see what needs to be completed (adjusting appointment times, helping to make hygiene recalls, etc.)

Deep Clean your room

With pre-approval from team lead, training can be completed during this time.

Look to help anesthetize Dr. patients – help bring back doctors patients

Chart Audits are only to be completed 1 day prior to the appointment. Â
There is plenty of work to be completed around the office. Â It will take everyone working together to help us reach our goals and our bonus. Â

End of Day

All chart notes are completed for patients
-
All chart audits are completed for next day.

(chart audits are only to be done 1 day in advanced. Â The schedule changes too much to be investing your time in completing multiple days out)

All trash is taken out of your operatory, room is clean, and chair is on end of day setting
-
This is your job, not the hygiene assistants

 Room is stocked and ready for next day

Wipe dental chair with soapy water
-
Make sure end of day sheet is completed and sent in Hygiene Teams EOD channel
