Fluoride Indications:

treatment of hyper-sensitivity teeth

exposed dentin and root sensitivity

remineralization
-
high carries risk
-
history of decay/dental work
-Contraindications:
-
Tree nut allergy
-Steps to apply:
-
Area to be treated are clean
-
Mix the varnish with the brush
-
Spread the varnish evenly to the areas to be treated
-Post Treatment:
-
Nothing hot or crunchy for the next hour
-
Do not brush or floss until 6 hours after application or before bed
Cervitec/ Cerv F Indications:
-
Cervitec is a Chlorohexadine varnish that does not stain teeth but is realesed over 90 days. It Is greatly beneficial in the treatment of gingiivits and periodontal disease. Cervitec F is that same product with Fluoride in it.

None including pregnancy
-Steps to apply:

These come in single does tubes

Completely dry area being treated, use cotton rolls to isolate if necessary
-
Use micro-brush to trace along gum line being treated
-Post Treatment:
-
Advise patient that they are to not eat or drink for the next hour
Cervitec F (Cervitec with fluoride)- D4999.5 CervFluoride.
This can be applied for all ages and every 90 days (can be applied at more freq intervals if needed). They come in single dose tubes.
-Step by step instructions for applying:
*Clean the tooth surface (just apply at the end of the prophy)
*Isolate the application areas with cotton rolls
*Remove the foil from the single dose and apply in a thin layer with micro brush
*Allow the varnish to dry for 1 minute before removing cotton rolls.
*NO rinsing after application, only spitting
*Do not eat or drink for one hour after application.
