Duties to be preformed:

Prepare and sterilize operatories for patient treatment
-
Restock operatories with supplies
-
Auditing patient charts ahead of time to best utilize patient appointment time & review the individual patient’s history/treatment needs

Review health history and update medications with patients
-
Take radiographs according to office standards
-
Take itero scan annually on each patient
-
Perform oral prophylaxis, including, ultrasonic, hand-scaling, polish and flossing

Review oral health instructions with all patients
-
Apply fluoride and Cervitec treatment
-
Use the laser on patients when necessary
-
Apply pit & fissure sealants
-
Evaluate gingival and overall oral health
-
Diagnose periodontal disease and gingivitis to determine customized treatment plans for periodontal conditions according to office standards

Perform scaling and root planing – ensuring that consent form is signed prior to treatment

Perform head/neck oral cancer screenings
-
Administer anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide

Record all pertinent information in patient chart, including the day’s treatment, clinical findings and recommended treatment – all documentation is expected to be completed before the patient leaves and treatment plan is updated and reviewed with pt.

Review perio chart and perio chart to the office’s standards (probe depths + full recession charted)

Prompt the doctor during all exams and report findings

Schedule patients for their next recare or periodontal related treatment – checking to make sure that all family members are also scheduled for recare.

Escort patient to front desk to schedule any restorative treatment and review estimated out of pocket responsibility.

Communicate with admin team any outstanding balances on the account.

Maintains asepsis before, during and after all patient treatment.

Escort patient in and out of operatory

Assist in sterilization area as needed

Perform downtime duties when no patient is scheduled.

Track fluoride, cervitec, LBR, MI paste and additional added tx each day and complete end of day reports
-
You are responsible to clean your room. Complete AM and PM checklist.

Daily – trash is taken out, room is stocked, chair is clean

Weekly – dust baseboards, cabinets and tv stands, clean floor
